Had some difficulty with the socket staying in the gauge. Not sure the gauge is about 15 years old. That could have been the problem. Worked at the twist and finally was in the gauge.

QUESTIONS:
Just bought a used TRD Boost gauge that's missing the single bulb socket. It was mas by Autometer and can't tell which socket I need (snap-in or twist-lock).
The case on this gauge should be white plastic. The 3220 is correct:

Is this the correct light socket to fit a 5457 Transmission temp gauge?
Yes, if your 5457 features a plastic body/case. Many years ago the 5457 was build with a steel case/body. This style would use the 3211 socket.

What size hole does this fit into?
This light assembly is designed only to fit into our gauge that have a white plastic case. It is not a universal piece.
