QUESTIONS:
Why doesn't autometer make a tach like the atm1490 that will hook up to a internal coil magneto?
To run on an internal magneto a tachometer requires special circuitry and a very rugged design to withstand the type of RF/electrical noise that a puts out. We do actually offer several magneto compatible tachometers in our Stack Professional Series like the ST200C-010. There is also a 8K, but we don't have a picture of this model currently online (ST200C-08)

Will this work with the tach feed wire that is on the Holley Terminator X system without any adapter?
This tach should work with the tach output wire from a Holley Terminator X without any extra adapters.

Does this come with wiring? if not can i purchase the wiring? its for a standard 1971 buck skylark
This gauge does not come with a wiring harness. There are spade connectors on the back to make the wiring easy. The only harness we offer for this gauge is included in our universal wiring harness (p/n 2198) that includes wiring for an entire kit of gauges.

I purchased a 1490 and under your features it states includes bulb and socket, etc. but when I received the unit it appears the bulb is within the housing and not accessible. Is it possible to change out the incandescent bulb to LED?
The 1490 does have an accessible and replaceable bulb that is compatible with our standard T3 LED bulbs (3284-3288). It may be under a removable black cap/plug on the back of the tachometer.

can this item be used in my 1975 MGB roadster?
Yes these will work with the roadster but you would have to provide an electric tach signal to the gauge.

Can this gauge NOT be installed in a gauge cup? I know the title days "in-dash" just checking.
This can be installed in any of our gauge pods that use a 3-3/8" mounting hole. You can use P/N: 5204 or anything similar to that.
