WILL THIS WORK ON A 2 STROKE OUTBOAD V6 MERCURY BLK MAX. IM LOOKING FOR A TACH WITH THESE DEMENSIONS. ALSO THAT WOULD MATCH PRO COMP MARINE WATER PRESSURE GAUGE. THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR YOUR HELP. SORRY ABOUT THE ALL CAPS.

how deep is the tach?

I need a tach for a diesel fire truck, it has a tach on the dash and need a remote tach on the pump panel it is 3 3/8 dia. hole needs to go up 4000-5000 rpm,it had one there but that tach is no longer available so I need a replacement.
Hello! The lowest RPM range we have in a 3 3/8" gauge is 0-6000 RPM. This would include model #5875, #3996, #2695, and #4475.

Can this tach be installed on an alternator signal?
Hi Gilles, thank you for the question. The 4475 Tachometer will not work directly off an alternator signal, but will trigger off our 9112 Diesel Tachometer Adapter that uses a pickup that mounts to the alternator:
