Great idea, poor execution. The instructions even say to cut off some of the stud from the gauge, and I wish I would have known this before buying this pod. Being friction fit is great however, makes installation a little bit easier.
The fact that the pod is not long enough, though, is not great. While it works, the gauge is still sticking out of the housing by about 1/4". I don't want to cut too many of the threads off for possible future use.
I do like it better than the A-pillar mount, but just wish that more time would have been taken to confirm that gauges will fit without having to cut too many of the threads off.

Fit and finish needs work
I purchased the steering column gauge holder to keep my truck looking factory. The depth of the gauge area is too small. I had to bend down the electrical connections for the gauge to fit, and I still had 1/8" visible from the side. The other issue is the shifter hold. The shifter hits the pod mount and loosens it when I shift into the park. Granted, I have not drilled and mounted, thankfully. I will permanently mount the poid once I trim the hole to accommodate the shifter.
I thought ordering a quality gauge like an Autometer would get me a quality mount, but that's not the case.
