QUESTIONS:

How long is the Thermocouple wiring harness?

Asked by: Fitz
Thank you for your question. This 5744 uses wire harness 5297, which has 10' of thermocouple wire on the harness.

The model number on the pyrometer I have is 5743/44, will the thermocouple for this gauge work on mine?

Asked by: wjj468
You will need P/N: P12709 and P/N: 5297. Those are the same parts used on gauge P/N: 5744. However I would recommend giving our tech line a call at 866-248-6357 to verify the age of the gauge in order for this to work properly.

will this directly replace a 5744 set from 2002. without rewiring that is.

Asked by: fyrcapn
Thank you for your question. The design of the gauge has be changed and no longer uses the same wiring harness and sensor. If you purchased a new 5744 you will need to utilize the harness and sensor that comes in the kit.

Can I just get the gauge by itself?

Asked by: Darcy
Hi Darcy, thank you so much for contacting us. Unfortunately we do not offer the gauge without it's harness and thermocouple. Sorry for the bad news.

I've replaced the probe and it still does not work. Is there a place to purchase the gauge separately?

Asked by: Jared
Hi Jared, we do not sell the gauge "head" only, but we can service the gauge for you. I would recommend reaching out to our service team at 866.248.6356, hitting the Chat link at the top of the page or emailing us and we can provide some additional troubleshooting steps and information on sending the gauge in for evaluation. I have the Phantom pyrometer, and need a new light bulb socket. Can you tell me which socket I need? I found a few different ones and I can't tell which one I need

Asked by: Brenen
Hi Brenen, thank you so much for contacting us. Most likely you will use the 3220 light socket which is the twist in style: https://www.autometer.com/replacement-bulb-and-socket-kit.html This will cover just about every incandescent lit pyrometer we've made over the past 20 some years. If you have an older style with a click-in socket, you'll use the 3211 (this is pretty rare though): https://www.autometer.com/bulb-socket-no-168-4-9-watt.html Hope this helps!
