Questions

I have this gauge in my car and the readings are off, I have tried changing out the MAP sensor with no luck is there a way to calibrate it or does it need sent in ?

Asked by: Tom W.
Hi Tom, thank you so much for contacting us. The easiest way to diagnose one of these is to remove power from the gauge while the vehicle is still running and plug it back in. The gauge does a calibration on every startup, but if power is cut or limited (as often happens on some electrical circuits to preserve current for the starter motor), it can throw off that calibration. If it starts to read correctly after doing that, you'll want to look for a different power circuit that does not drop out during crank. If the condition persists, we're more than happy to check out your gauge here at our shop. There's never any charge for diagnostic work. you can send us just the gauge head using this form: http://www.autometer.com/media/Service_Form.pdf Hope this helps!
