An engine running a high oil temperature will fail, as proven time and time again. Monitoring this critical parameter ensures that you are running the correct weight oil and that your oil cooling system is performing properly. Highly accurate and durable thanks to AutoMeter’s patented air core meter movement, a single wire, 1/8” NPT temperature sender (990344) is available separately.

I am purchasing the Auto Meter Marine Oil Tempature Gauge 200764-35. It says it requires a 990344 sensor. Will be using Auto Meter #2257 m12X1.75 to 1/8-27 adaptor. Is there a longer sensor that will work with this gauge. Like #2385Hi Jack, thank you for contacting us. If you're planning to use an M12 adapter, you'll want to use the 2259 shallow depth sensor, which you can see here: https://www.autometer.com/shallow-depth-electric-temperature-sender-250-300-and-340-deg.html This is very commonly used on LS engines in which the cylinder head port is M12x1.5, but holds true for any M12 bushing. Hope this helps!Date published: 2018-02-12
How long is sensor 990344. If this is short is there a longer 1/8-27 ntp sensor that works with auto meter Marine 200764-35Hi Jack, thank you so much for contacting us. The overall length of the sending unit is 1.72", with about 1/2" of that being the probe that extends beyond the threads. We also have our 2259 sending unit which ends right at the end of the threads (no protruding probe) which would work for applications in which you require a bit more internal clearance: https://www.autometer.com/shallow-depth-electric-temperature-sender-250-300-and-340-deg.html Hope this helps!Date published: 2018-02-12
