Hi. I have an Ultra Lite trans temp gauge and was wondering which sender it will need please? I also have a water temp sender with auto meter marked on one face, 27 and 5160 marked on the other faces but I can't find anything on your with those details

Asked by: Pauly
Thank you for your question. You will want to use our sensor #2258.

I have water temp gauge 5437 and oil temp gauge 5447. what is the correct replacement sender for each? I'm reusing the gauges but need new senders for a new engine. also, if 990344 or 2258, is there a version that doesn't include extra adaptors?

Asked by: morgan from ATX
Thank you for your question. Both of those gauges use sender #2258. All our senders will include some common adapters. 990344 and 2258 are both the same sending unit, one is just paired with marine gauges and one is paired with automotive gauges so we can give separate part numbers to automotive distributors vs marine distributors, but they are the exact same thing.

What is the correct sensor for a trans temp gauge #4357. My vehicle is a 2001 Ford F-350 superduty with a 7.3 power stroke and a4r100 tranny.

Asked by: Steve tylor
Thank you for your question. The sensor we send with gauge #4357 is our 2258, it would also work with a 2259. 990344 is the exact same as 2258, the part number is different only so we can distinguish between purchases for marine use vs purchases for automotive use.

I purchased the Marine watertemp gauge on-line, and the package didn't come with a sender unit? Is that correct? I have a 2258 sender and also a 2259, they will be mounted in the cylinder head of my mercury marine outboard. So will these sender work ?

Asked by: nappy99
Thank you for your question. That is correct, our marine gauges do not come with sending units. Both the 2258 and 2259 will work with your marine water temp gauge.

Is the 990344 sender the correct sender for your 2543 oil temperature gauge?

Asked by: Dennis371
Hi Dennis, thank you for the question. Officially, the 2258 is the sender for the 2543, but the 990344 will also work and is 100% the same specifications as model 2258.

I bought water temp gauge part 200762-33. What sender unit would I need for this guage. Gauge is electric and sender part number recommended looks mechanical.

Thank you so much for contacting us. This is the exact sending unit you'll want for your 200762-33 gauge. Hope this helps!

How long is the sensor in part# 990344  If probe is only flush with end of threads what is part # of 1/8-NPT sensor that is longer. Must be compatible with #200764-35 marine pro-comp gauge and M12x1.75 male to 1/8-NPT female adaptor #2278

Asked by: Jack A
Hi Jack, thank you for connecting with us. You will need to go with the 2259 sender, which is a shallow depth sender. This sender will not be flush or protrude from the adapter, but since this is a popular set-up on the GM LS motors (they actually use the 2277), we've done extensive testing and there is no discernible difference in gauge readings when using the shallow depth sender in the metric adapter.
