REVIEWS:

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Have had 2 that have failed My first one worked great for about 4 years. Then it started pegging out over 100psi when running. Key on engine off reads over 60psi. I replaced the sender spring 2019. It worked normally for about a month. Now doing the same, reading way higher than normal even with key on engine off. With key off gauge reads 0. Disconnect sender, key on gauge reads 0. Guess I'll have to order another...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 0 TO 100 POUNDS PRESSURE TRANSDUCER I HAVE USED AUTO METER FOR ALMOST 19 YEARS AND LIKE THEIR PRODUCTS. THERE SHOULD BE A NOTE ON INSTALLATION THT THE SENDING UNIT NEEDS TO BE INSTALLED WITH ELECTRICAL CONNECTION UP SO FLUID CONNECTION IS DOWN. THE HOUSING SEAL TO THE UNIT IS NOT LIQUID TIGHT. SINCE MINE IS UPSIDE DOWN I SEALED THE JOINT WITH A SEALANT SO HOPEFULLY IT WILL NOT ALLOW FLUIDS TO ENTER THE MODULE.

Hello, have a older set of Autometer gauges , using on a Mopar Gen 2 426 hemi engine, so my question is which number oil sender do I need? And what number water temp sender do I need? Thanks

Asked by: David E
You will need P/N: 2242 for the oil pressure gauge. For the water temp gauge you will need P/N: 2258 for anything from 96+ gauges. You will need P/N: 2253 for Pre-1995 gauges.

Hi Rick, This 2242 sender works with all Auto Meter electric oil pressure gauges that have a 90 degree dial sweep and use a 1 wire sender. Thanks, Jim

Is the 1/8" npt the sensor without the adapter? Because I have headers on my Chevy 235 c.i. the sensor won't fit where the original tubing fitting was. I'm thinking 2 1/8" npt brass street elbows will move the sensor out of the way of the header tube.

Asked by: albia kid
Thank you for your question. It is common to remotely mount this sending unit. We recommend using P/N: 3234 or 3236. However you are correct that the thread size for the sending unit itself is 1/8" NPT.

Does this work with the Sport-comp gauge?

Asked by: Z guy
Thank you for your question. This will only work with P/N: 3327 and P/N: 3522 in that series.
