Questions

hello, I have gauge #880080, does this sensor suit that gauge? as my gauge has a reading sometimes and works occasionally. While the other gauges work fine. thank you

Asked by: kade
Thank you for your question. Yes, the 2246 pressure sensor is used for the 880080 fuel pressure gauge.

I have an older style autometer oil pressure gauge it is electric 0-100 psi full sweep will this work with that gauge

Asked by: David Plymouth33
Hi David, thank you for contacting us. If it is a full sweep electric, 100 psi gauge, yes, 2246 is the sender. We've had a few different styles of full sweep senders over the years, but they're all cross compatible, featuring the same type of connector and 0-5V output.

I have a pro comp ultra lite 100psi oil pressure gauge (short sweep) and I recently put an LSX motor in the car. What do I need to use the port on top of the oil filter to use this gauge? Sender unit? Connector? Adapter? Thank you, Kathy

Asked by: Kathy
Hi Kathy, thank you for connecting with us. For the factory LS port on the top of the block behind the intake manifold, you would typically use our metric adapter, model 2268: https://www.autometer.com/1-8-npt-to-m16x1-5-pressure.html You will have to use the sender we include with the gauge, but the 2268 adapter will adapt the sender to the factory port.

Hi,    What is the voltage of this sender at 0psi and at 100psi?  Thanks advance

Asked by: Wiseman
Thank you for the question. The 2246 requires a 5V reference in, then provides a .5V to 4.5V linear scale; .5V at 0 PSI and 4.5V at 100 PSI.

I would like to receive the wiring scheme for this item and if it is 5V or 12V please.

Asked by: IDL1
Thank you so much for contacting us. This is a 5v sending unit which gets a 5v power source, ground and then has a signal return. You can see the pinout here: https://www.autometer.com/media/Full_Sweep_Pressure_Harness.pdf Hope this helps!

Will the 2246 work with pro parts speak pro gauge 0-35psi gauge?

Asked by: Frankbuentello
Hi Frank, thank you so much for the question. This will not work with the 0-35 psi Spek Pro. For a 0-35 psi Spek Water Pressure, you will need sender model P13153. If the 0-35 psi Spek Pro is a Boost gauge, you'll need sender model P13115. This would be based on existing Spek-Pro gauge models that you can find on our website. If this is an older gauge or a gauge that was possibly used by a NASCAR team, there could be many exceptions to the type of sender it used. In this case, we would recommend sending us an email here with details on when and where the gauge was acquired: https://www.autometer.com/resources/index/ask_a_question

will the 2246 work with the 4427 oil pressure gauge?

Asked by: Ron R
Hi Ron. The 2246 will not work with the 4427. The 4427 Oil Pressure uses the 2242 Sender. The 2246 is designed for our full sweep electric Digital Stepper Motor style gauge, like model 4452 https://www.autometer.com/2-5-8-oil-press-0-100-psi-fse-w-peak-warn.html

Is this the sending unit also used for the older model 3363 sport-comp fuel pressure gauge , that has the black box/module with the wiring? I think this unit is about 15 years old.

Asked by: rbrown777
Thank you so much for contacting us. While this sender is designed for use with our newer Digital Stepper Motor gauges and Data Acquisition Systems, it will be compatible with an older, "black box" style fuel pressure gauge. Hope this helps!
