Does the kit come with everything I need to install? wiring, tap for pryro, boost line integration, etc?Thank you for your question. You will need to supply wiring for the transmission temp and boost gauge. The kit will come with everything else needed for installation.Date published: 2020-03-06
Looking at the installation of the 99 ford super duty pillar kit on Facebook I noticed they used a different temperature sending unit then what was provided in the kit . Can you provide information on the sending unit type, brand, and where to purchase.Thank you for your question. This kit comes with short sweep electric gauges which use a 2259 sending unit. The gauges in our video are full sweep electric gauges, so they use a 2252 sending unit. You can get this kit with full sweep electric gauges, however, you will have to buy the parts individually and assemble the kit yourself.Date published: 2018-10-04
Does the pillar kit come with the gauges already installed and wired in the pillar? Or ... do you ship the separate kit pieces and leave it up to the customer to determine their preferred order for the gauges and let them do the pillar wiring etc?Hi Nela, thank you for connecting with us. We press fit the gauges into the 7077 for shipping, but nothing is actually wired or permanent. In most cases you would have to remove the gauges to properly wire, etc., so rearranging the gauges in a different order can easily be done during installation.Date published: 2018-08-15
Since my 03 already has a factory trans temp gauge is there another gage that can replace the trans temp?Hi Scotty, thank you for the question. This kit cannot be modified, but you have a couple options. First of all, we do offer a dual version without the trans as model 7076 that you can see here: https://www.autometer.com/ford-powerstroke-sd-99-07-dual-a-pillar-ga-kit.html You can also order the triple pillar, boost gauge, and pyrometer separately, then the only 3rd option in Ford Factory Match would be the HPOP gauge model 8496: https://www.autometer.com/2-1-16-hpop-0-4k-psi-fse-powerstroke-ford-fm.htmlDate published: 2018-07-02
Is this available in the factory ford grey interior ?Hi Samuel, thank you so much for contacting us. This pillar mount is only available in black. The surface is designed to be paintable and can be matched with any interior paint. Hope this helps!Date published: 2018-05-23
So in addition to my question previously asked. What about the EGT, it does come with the sensor and wiring? Are the gauges set up with wiring for the lights? Maybe it would be easier to ask what else will i need to complete the package?Hi Kenneth, thank you for contacting us. The Pyrometer does include a harness and the thermocouple for the exhaust. You will need to supply wring for the lights. We recommend using the 9114 Dimmer Module as the gauges are LED lit: https://www.autometer.com/led-lighting-dimmer.html If you'd like to see a complete installation on your truck, chec out this article we did here: https://www.facebook.com/AutoMeterProductsInc/photos/?tab=album&album_id=10150539219590587 Hope this helps, if you've got further questions, don't hesitate to give us a call up at the shop at 866.248.6356. We're available M-F, 8am - 5pm CST. You can also hit the Chat link at the top of the page or email us here: https://www.autometer.com/resources/index/ask_a_questionDate published: 2018-01-03
Does the pillar kit come with all the wires sensors required to install a pyrometer, trans temp and boost sensors?Hi Ken, thank you for the question. It is a mechanical boost and will include 10 feet of nylon tubing. The only thing we do not include is wiring for the transmission temperature gauge. We would recommend 18 or 20 gauge wire for power, ground, and the wire to the sending unit.Date published: 2018-01-02
