I want to use the shift light on this tach to indicate staging RPM. What is the lowest RPM the Tach will register at?

Can an external shift light be connected to this unit?
Thank you for your question. No, this tachometer has a shift light integrated in the face of the unit, and because of this, it does not have a shift light output for external shift lights.

I'm putting my sports tach 3903 in a VW Bug the 64 do I need to do anything to the tach itself before I just install it
Thank you for your question. The '64 bug should have a 4 cylinder engine so you will want to follow the instructions relating to a 4 cylinder install. Other than that, you will not need to do anything else to install your 3903 tachometer.
