Does it has a shifting light?

Asked by: Cuajinais
The 2301 does not have a shift light. To add one, would require something with an RPM switch or completely independently operated like our 5343. The 2302 and 2309 feature shift lights. The 233908 and 233909 are comparable to this model and also feature a shift light.

How far apart are the holes for mounting?

Asked by: Petenice
For this tachometer, the two screws for mounting are about 1-1/8 inches away from each other. It does actually have a third option towards the front for another hole, but is not necessary.

do you have a tach for a v-10 ford

Asked by: bill 31
Hello bill 31, thank you for contacting us. Most Ford V-10 applications require a 2.5 pulse per rev, which would require a special order in most cases. Please give us a call at 866-248-6356 or send us an email at to discuss options.

I live in Oregon, Illinois. Can I purchase a tachometer from Auto Meter in Sycamore or do I have to order thru mail ?

Asked by: Dougsride
Currently we are not taking any walk-ins due to COVID-19. Unfortunately all local customers will still need to get items shipped out for orders or shipped in to us for repairs.

I bought a used 2301 Autogauge tach.  When I removed the rear cover to set for 4 cyl, the green wire broke off the circuit board.  I believe it hooks to the same post as the black ground wire.  If not where should it go? The tach has a round circuit board

hi have a 12v electrical system n my 1940 pickup, with a volage reducer feeding 6v to the coil, will this tach work or read correct on my vehicle thanks jim.

Asked by: james40
Hi James, Our tachometers are designed to be triggered by the 12 volt square wave at coil negative. Your coil will be producing a 6 volt square wave and may be below the trigger threshold of this tachometer. We cannot recommend use of this tachometer with your 6 volt coil. Thanks, Jim
