Questions

Can this be used with a 9601 data acquisition dash as a warning light for excessive RPM's?

Asked by: egraham76
Thank you for the question. The 3240 uses a large incandescent bulb and would require a relay to run it off the 9601 Dash. We'd recommend something like model ST534: https://www.autometer.com/dash-top-shift-light-red.html

I have the 4484 memory tach and was wondering if I could hook up one of these to the tach

Asked by: Justin g
Thank you so much for contacting us. Unfortunately, I'm showing part number 4484 as being a vacuum gauge: https://www.autometer.com/2-5-8-vacuum-30-in-hg-mech-ultra-lite.html Regardless, this particular light is a warning light and does not have the shift light connector on it. It could certainly be hard wired to a tach that has a shift light output (cutting the existing connector off of the tach). If your tach has a shift light connector on it, you would probably want to use one of these shift lights: LED Version: https://www.autometer.com/12-led-super-lite-shift-lite-black.html Standard Version: https://www.autometer.com/shift-lite-black.html Hope this helps!

can I use the 3240 warning lite as a shift lite on my Pro Comp II ultra lite tach ? if so how can I get the connecter to install it?

Asked by: Austin
Hi Austin, thank you so much for contacting us. So this can be wired directly to your tach. Simply cut the connector off the shift light lead on your tach and you can either hardwire it or use any off the shelf two way connector. While we don't have just the connectors available separately, we do offer an extension harness that isn't terribly expensive that could be made to work: https://www.autometer.com/quick-lite-3-ft-extension-wire-w-connectors.html Finally, that connector is the same as the ones MSD commonly uses, so if you have any old MSD harnesses, you can harvest the connectors from those. Hope this helps!
