Will the kit 5249 work with a 3844 gauge. I have the kit 5249 but the numbers are worn off my gauge and need a new gauge.
Hi,
The correct probe/harness kit for your gauge is actually 5251:

Hi, i am looking for shielded exhaust probes, do you have any probes that are shielded so i dont burn the tips off?
Hi Mitch, thank you for connecting with us. This is a closed tip probe, which will offer a greater lifespan than an open tip probe.

will this work with auto meter 4345 pyrometer?
Hi there, thank you for reaching out to us. Yes, this is the probe for the 4345 Pyrometer. If you are missing the probe completely, some newer style gauges will also require this harness: https://www.autometer.com/egt-wire-harness-forr-incandescent-lit-digital-stepper-motor-gauges.html
If your 4345 has a small red and black wire for power and the probe connects to 2 bolts on the back of the gauge, 5249 is all you'll need. The newer style utilizes a 10 pin connector at the back of the gauge for all wiring. This newer style would require this 5297 Harness in addition to the probe: https://www.autometer.com/egt-wire-harness-forr-incandescent-lit-digital-stepper-motor-gauges.html
