Questions

Does my new Auto meter 990414 Adapter come already greased or should I grease it prior to use? And if so what grease do you recommend?

Asked by: 81 Ellie
I didn’t need any grease with mine and it seems to be working perfectly

i need a right angle unit like this to mount on my transmission due to space limitations, will this work for me?

Asked by: Anonymous
Thank you for your question. No, this will not work for your application as this unit installs directly into the back of our speedometer, it will not install into a transmission.

using an early Bronco speedo running to a GM Saginaw transmission. Will this work for me and does this mount to the speedo?

Asked by: statesblue
Thank you for your question. Yes, this will mount to the back of the speedometer and then you run your speedometer cable from the transmission to this adapter. It should certainly work for your application.

Will this work for a 1983 jeep cj7 ?

Asked by: Weakeyes
It’s a matter of type of gauge you have vs the clearance between the gauge and the structural support behind the gauge.  The adapter threads onto rear of gauge and extends about an inch further beyond the end of your gauge.   If you have that clearance behind, then the adapter should work without issue
