Questions

Will this pyrometer probe kit fit the autometer ultra lite 2 0-2000* pyrometer gauge?

Asked by: Jared91
Thank you for your question. If you are using P/N: 4945 this will be the correct replacement harness/probe for that unit.

Can you confirm if this is the proper thermocouple kit for use with the 2654 Z-series pyrometer? Thanks

Asked by: Mike5.9
Thank you for your inquiry. The 2654 actually uses the 5249 probe kit and 5297 harness.

What is the part number for the 1/8" NPT male compression fitting that comes with this probe/harness in the Pyrometer Kit 5944?

Asked by: Camp
Hi Camp, thank you for the question. The actual fittings that come with the 5944 probe would be model 3256: https://www.autometer.com/fitting-thermocouple-incl-set-screw-1-8npt-male-steel.html As you can see from that image it's not actually a compression fitting, but if you did prefer a compression style fitting, we offer model 5255: https://www.autometer.com/3-16-id-1-8-egt-probe-fitting-and-weld-in-bung.html

My Phantom II pyrometer has stopped working. I suspect it is the temperature probe. The part number on the face is is 2005-7544. What is the correct probe kit for my unit?

Asked by: Tyler
Hi Tyler, thank you so much for contacting us. If you need a probe for your Phantom II, this unit (p/n 5251) is the correct replacement. Before replacing it, make sure you double check your ground for the gauge. It needs to be grounded directly to the engine block. Oftentimes they will work for a little bit and then drop off due to inadequate grounding. The engine block is the only ground on your vehicle that will work for an EGT gauge. This fixes probably 99% of the issues we see. Hope this helps!
