DESCRIPTION:
This fully potted, weatherproof module can be wired to ground / kill switch terminal magneto ignition systems to provide a conventional 12V square wave signal which can be utilized by AutoMeter tachometers and RPM activated devices.

vertex magneto
this is being used with a vertex magneto with an external coil. so far it has worked perfect. will know more when racing season resumes.

I have a VORTEX magneto will this signal converter work on all autometer tacho I see some people ask about the coil dont know which one i have and no one can tell me if it will work

Will this adapter work with a Styles internal coil magneto, this mag has only one ground wire coming out of it
Unfortunately the 9118 will not work in your application. It is only designed for use on modern external coil magnetos.

Should this work with a Cirello Franenstien Mag
If this is an external mag, like a super mag, then yes. If this is an internal mag, shoot us an email for more information.

Can this converter be used to power an Airguide #1023 tach, on my 1960 Mercury Merc 400 magneto engine?
We couldn’t say for sure, but it’s highly unlikely. Our magneto signal converter is specifically designed to operate one of our tachometers on an external coil magneto race ignition, like a Mallory Super Mag or Vertex OXC Mag.

Im using a msd pro mag 44 with a crank trigger, can i use the 9118 signal converter and a 6811 tach with this msd pro mag 44??
