In the video showing the joystick it looks like a carbon fiber backing but on the product pictures it looks plain black plastic. Is that some type of an option

will this fit a 1970 mustang
This is only designed to fit a 1967 or 1968 Mustang. It will not fit a 1970.

For a 1968 mustang How will the speedo cable work with this kit
A speed cable doesn't work with this kit. You will need to use P/N: 5292 in order to give the dash the signal needed for speed.
