Questions

What is temp setting on this sensor? Needing a 200 degree on switch.

Asked by: Jim a
Hi Jim, thank you so much for contacting us. I'm not 100% sure I understand your question, but it sounds like you're looking for a temperature switch, not a sensor. Take a look at this one, which will complete a ground circuit at 200 degrees: https://www.autometer.com/temperature-switch-170-200-f.html Hope this helps!

I have a auto meter 100-250 water temp gauge what sending unit do I need for it to work on my 350 chev

Asked by: baddog
Thank you so much for contacting us. This sender is actually designed for use with the Auto Gage line. If you need a sending unit for an AutoMeter air core (short sweep) temperature gauge, you'll want the 2258: https://www.autometer.com/short-sweep-electric-temp-gauge-sender-250-300-and-340-deg.html Hope this helps!

what sending unit will work with a b+m transmission gauge

Asked by: ccosta
Thank you so much for contacting us. Unfortunately, our sending units are only designed to work with our gauges. They will not be compatible with any other OEM or aftermarket gauges. Sorry for the bad news.

I have 2385 senders installed on my remote oil and trans lines, what gauges will work with them to get the right temperature span range. I know they have to be the autogage type but will any temperature work?

Asked by: Glenn
Hi Glenn, thank you so much for contacting us. This sending unit is only used with the 2355 temperature gauge, which you can see here: https://www.autometer.com/1-1-2-water-temp-100-280-f-elec.html Hope this helps!

Is the 2385 the replacement sensor for my sport comp trans temp gauge 100/250 gauge and does come with the sleeve fitting  as shown in the picture.tks

Asked by: Fred h
Hi Fred, thank you for the question. The 2385 is not the correct sender for your AutoMeter temp gauge. This is for our AutoGage line. The sender we include with the Sport Comp Trans Temp is this model 2258: https://www.autometer.com/short-sweep-electric-temp-gauge-sender-250-300-and-340-deg.html It will come with the adapters pictured.

Is this sender compatible with the cobalt series of gauges? Thanks Gary

Asked by: Big G
Thank you so much for contacting us. This sender will only with the Auto Gage line. For a Cobalt gauge with a single wire sending unit, you'll want the 2258: https://www.autometer.com/short-sweep-electric-temp-gauge-sender-250-300-and-340-deg.html For Cobalt gauges that utilize a 2 wire sending unit, check out the 2252: https://www.autometer.com/temperature-sender-for-digital-stepper-motor-temp-gauges.html Hope this helps!

I have a b&m trans temp gauge, lacking the unobtainable sender. Is there an Autometer part number that will work for this?

Asked by: Tom59
Hi Tom, thank you for connecting with us. Unfortunately, without knowing the resistance range of the sender you require, there is no way for us to know. However, it's very unlikely any of our senders would work since almost all gauge manufacturers use a unique resistance range for temperature.

Will this sender unit fit Chevy Vortec heads ? I have a 1969 Camaro with factory gauges, any help would be appreciated. Many Thanks

Asked by: Dillon138
Hi Dillon, thank you so much for the question. If it's an earlier Vortec these should work. I would recommend reaching out to our service team at 815-895-8141, hitting the Chat link at the top of the page or emailing us with the exact year and size of the engine to be sure.
