How do I know if map sensor is bad or if it's the cobalt gauge? Numbers seem to change daily. Reads only boost one day then maby just vacuum the next. Said I was pushing 30 lbs today at 45 mph just for reference.Any idea where power source that doesn't pause would be on a 1997 f150 4x4 Flareside? My first guess would be somewhere on the ignition switch maby. Shop that installed it is out of business but it is cycling twice. Unhook 3 wire plug from map sensor and crank truck will make gauge needle go all the way around to the right until it hits the stop button. Plug it back in doesn't make it return to the left. Unplug it again with vacuum line and let it sit overnight then hook em back up before cranking will move needle back to the left after driving it a while. Gauge still not working properly as sometimes it won't move from where it goes to after cranked. Thanks for trying to help me get this thing figured out. BTW Cobalt fuel pressure gauge doesn't seem to be affected by double cycling.Date published: 2018-07-24
