REVIEWS:

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Needle is jumpy The needle doesn't gradually increase as the engine temp does. After it finally registers the needle shoots up to 230 degrees and rapidly drops down to 180 but seems really jerky and not smooth as I would have suspected. It takes a while for the gauge to stabilize and work as it should.

QUESTIONS:

I need a 1/4" npt probe. will this work or can an adapter be used? thanks

Asked by: douwe
Thank you for your inquiry. Our mechanical water temp gauges are not adaptable to 1/4" NPT. You can adapt the sender from our electric gauges to 1/4" NPT however. You might consider model 1737 in this application: https://www.autometer.com/2-water-temp-100-250-f-old-tyme-black.html
