Knowing the exact air/fuel mixture running through your engine is the most important factor to extracting the highest levels of performance and durability. Not all wideband gauges are created equal. AutoMeter utilizes an advanced calibration method that automatically calibrates your gauge on every startup to assure you of the highest degree of accuracy over the entire lifespan of your sensor (no free air calibration is ever necessary). Compatible with nearly all fuel types, the AutoMeter Pro Wideband has a configurable display to pinpoint the exact range you want to keep an eye on. An advanced peak recall function and lean warning system make sure you’re safely making power, whether on the track or on the street. An automatically dimming display tailors light output for any condition. Data logging output is included for one wire or two wire systems in both lambda or AFR. Our specially designed O2 sensor and wiring harness are included for ease of installation. Quite simply, there isn’t a more accurate or easy to live with wideband gauge available on the market.

Thank you for your question. Pro uses a Bosch LSU 4.2 sensor and Pro Plus uses and Bosch LSU 4.9 sensor.

What is the typical life span of this gauge and the sensor? I’ve just bought a car from someone that came with this installed. It’s been about 8 years and 70k miles. Would it be suggested that I get the gauge calibrated or sensor replaced etc?

Asked by: Beck
Hi Beck, thank you for the question. The sensor on a Wideband Air Fuel Ratio is the only "wear" item and may need to be replaced at some point, depending on the application. However, there is usually not a degradation of performance and a sensor failure would typically cause the gauge to simply lock up on a certain reading.

can I buy just the gauge

Asked by: tysni
Thank you for the question. We do not offer a Wideband gauge head only. It will only be sold as a complete kit with gauge, harness, and O2 sensor. We do, however, service our gauges if you were looking to replace an existing Wideband gauge head. Here is information on sending a gauge in for service: http://www.autometer.com/media/Service_Form.pdf

I don't see these listed in the marine section. Can these be used in a boat?

Asked by: Anonymous
Thank you so much for contacting us. Unfortunately, these units are not water resistant and could be damaged in marine applications if they are exposed to the elements. We do offer a few marine widebands though. Not only are they front sealed, but they also have an extended sensor harness as the engine is typically much farther away than in automotive applications. This one matches up with the Ultra Lite gauges: https://www.autometer.com/2-5-8-wideband-air-fuel-ratio-analog-8-1-18-1-afr-marine-silver.html And here are all the marine widebands: https://www.autometer.com/catalogsearch/result/?q=marine+wideband#1&profile=products Hope this helps!
