REVIEWS:

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Total Transformation I replaced a full set of Phantom short sweep gauges with the Invision set up in my 78 C10. It was by far, one of the easiest set-ups I have installed. The water temp, and fuel pressure senders were already there for my short sweeps, so I did not have to change those. The other wiring was already there so the hook up was fast and easy. I had plenty of room behind the dash for my aftermarket AC. Considering the manufacturing variations in trucks through that era, I was pleasantly surprised with the fit of the dash. The Invision set brings modern appearance and function. It is super easy to set up and program, and I like the options you have in display modes and colors. Great looks, easy set up, and super value.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Cool Piece of Equipment I bought this over a month ago and just got around to installing this weekend. I have a 1986 C10 and I must say I am very pleased everything works perfect. For the speedo I am using Autometers gps sending unit which could not be an easier match up. The directions were great very easy wire up if you have some ability. For my year I had to modify the light switch (very easy it’s in the instructions) and you will have to modify your PRNDL. The radio section is blank and you will have to cut it out for the radio you are using. Only two things that could make this unit better 1. Some expansions for additional gauges 2. The upper heating vent molded ears ( you will have to modify this otherwise your vent will just flop down I used some fuel hose and it’s perfect. All in all I very happy with it! Nice job Autometer!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from This Product Doesn't Monitors speedometer AsListed If you read this product word for word feature listing it stats Requires no cutting, drilling or modification to factory pieces *****Monitors speedometer, tachometer, fuel level, oil pressure, water temperature, and volts all in a high resolution and colorful display 12.3” LCD display with three user selectable screens Features high beam & turn signal indicators as well as user selectable warning light All kits include a wiring harness and sending units for water temperature and oil pressure as well as a joystick for dash customization Adjustable RPM range and displays in imperial or metric measurements Helps protect your vehicle with visual or audible alarms - low fuel level/oil pressure/voltage and high water temperature Speedometer easily calibrates to OEM or aftermarket vehicle speed sensors and the tachometer is capable of calibrating to many engine types. I've done a unboxing video and have proof of no speedometer sensor being with product to monitor speed. So how is it true this kit is a complete package for $899.95 when its missing the most important piece and its priced @ $110 more. YOU WILL NEED TO MONTITOR SPEED. Can a option be selected or suggested to the purchasers? Because I wasn't giving a option. From experience I called my order in on the phone and spoke my order through with AUTOMETER support team and was never giving the option for a sensor for my speedometer. However I've ask this company to change their listing to accuracy list this product. Meanwhile they stat that most ppl using this product will be changing their motor and that's the reason why it doesn't come with the much needed part which cost them $100 and they will not just give it away. If that's true what does the majority of ppl do when their vehicle doesn't have a swap motor and buys your product?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best value in square body gauge options. I reviewed all the options when building an '81 C10. This is the only all inclusive updated gauge package and is priced similarly to the others. The display options are awesome, installation was easy, and the features are under sold. You can customize alarms for several critical functions and they work and look really nice.

QUESTIONS:

Is there a method to update the firmware on this dash? You instructions show illustrations for four (4) different dash options while the text mentions only three (3). I've purchased my dash some time ago and was hopeful there were some new displays.

I am about to start an LS swap into my 84 C10. I am going to use the Holley Terminator X system. Is the Invision Dash compatible with the Terminator X system?

Asked by: Yo Chad
The Terminator X should have a dedicated tach signal which our dash should work with. You will need the 5284 LS Install Kit, and I advise that you download the instruction for that, it has a lot of information as far as install of our instruments on that motor. Oil pressure and water temp will require our sending units. Fuel level will work with the OEM sender, and volts no issue. Speedometer will work with the LS VSS.

Asked by: Tomoyuki
Yes, we would be able to ship to Japan. If you have an 86 El Camino, we would recommend you check out the 7005 InVision Dash. Also, if you check out https://www.autometer.com/pub/media/manual/2650-1993-77rB.pdf, we do list that you can change the speed meter to display KM/h.

My 1984 C10 has dual fuel tanks. Will the fuel gauge connect to the fuel tank selector switch on the dash or does it connect to the sending unit in the tank? In other words, will it read each fuel tank when switching tanks?

Asked by: William47
It should read like your original did as long as you're capturing the fuel level reading after that switch.

Hi I am doing an 2006 LS 4.8 motor and a 4l60e trans into an 85 c10. Do I need anything to get the transmission to work with this unit. I will be using all LS sensors. Thanks, Robert

Asked by: Robert02
If the VSS (vehicle speed sensor) is functioning on your 4L680E, it will work with our InVision dash. For the temperature and oil pressure, you will need to use the senders we include with the kit. We would recommend our 5284 LS install kit as well.

I have '74 Blazer 2WD with a newer 5.3 Gen V LT and 6L80. What do I need to purchase to run with this dash ( GPS,etc). Is this upgrading with GPS display and graphics.

Asked by: Atimidator
Thank you for your question. You will need a 9117 and can use the stock VSS. If one is not on the transmission then P/N: 5289 can be used. I would also recommend using P/N: 5284 for the oil pressure and water temp install.

I bought invision guages for a 79 chevy. It has a ppump cummins in it and i want to run a tach for it and a gps module for the speedo. Can you direct me to the right part numbers. Thanks

Thank you for your question. P/N: 9112 will be needed for the tach signal and P/N: 5289 for the GPS module.

I'm in the middle of an install in my cummins powered square body. I'm not finding any data or schematics on getting a tach signal. Not wanting to use the alternator. Is there a hall effect that will work?

Asked by: Standclear149
Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, the only thing we would have that would work would be P/N: 9112, which is an alternator adapter. Another alternative would be P/N: 5290, which is a universal adapter to obtain a signal with a magnetic sensor.
