DASHLINK, OBDII DIGITAL GAUGES, APPLE iOS/ANDROID is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 13.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Only a small subset of listed features available I tried this on a 2007 and 20012 Toyota. I was disappointed to find neither was supported. That places it in to a limited mode where some data shows up like you might see with a diagnostics tool. Barely a fraction of the advertised features. I wanted to show some gauges I was lacking since the data is present. It mostly duplicated existing gauges but not even basics like fuel level or oil pressure. No tire pressure data, no transmission temp, no oil temp, outside temp, etc. Other features rely on the device used such as an iPad for acceleration and G forces. In short, it added no useful gauges and limited use OBDII diagnostics. Really, no fuel level or oil pressure? I used the support contact link on the App and asked if the firmware or software was something that gets updated in hopes that support for the Toyota might appear but it's been a month and support never responded to me.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I miss options for custom dashboards The product extracts an impressive amount of data from the car but I find it difficult to uae as I have to browse through many pages to find the information that I need - I hoped to have all information on display on an iPad for ready reference when driving but this is not possible It would be great if it was possible to build your own dashboard

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worked for less than a week It was exactly what I needed, worked great for exactly 5 days. After reading reviews on retail sites like Summit Racing I find this is a common complaint. Waiting for customer service to respond.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Product. I use this on my Chevy Sonic. It works as advertised, it shows many of the car functions. I use it with my iphone, though I wouldn't doubt is made best to be used with pad instead, as it would have more space for display. It accurately displays my performance timing, which is what I wanted in the first place. I'm giving it a four star instead of five, because I know the car has more sensors that can be displayed that the Dashlink provides. Maybe in the future more will be added as firmware is updated for free.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All in one! Recently supercharged my truck and was shopping for gauges such as boost, fuel air ratio, etc. This has near all I need in one place without installing anything. Just mount my IPAD in the center console area and have what I need. Remove it and no evidence of performance alterations. Outstanding product. Saved me much work and money. Like the measurement of 1/4 mile and 0-60 times.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Dash link Have this now for a year. At first took some work to get it communication to the car but once got past that has been great. Like that can monitor several input at rge same time map,AfR, timing and water temperature. Mine once you launch the app t akes abut 1 to 2 min to connect. Love all of the info I have gotten from it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from App stopped working after 1 day I installed the Dashlink app on iPhone XS, it worked for less than a day, then I get the error message in the photo and the app exits. This is with OBDLink MX+ bluetooth dongle. When it worked it was a great app, I've had to request a refund from Apple.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product at a Good Price I have had the DashLink for about a month now. It is very easy to setup and easy to use. It displays everything it advertises that it does. I use it all the time and am very satisfied with it. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a similar device.

Questions

I HAVE A 2010 TOYOTA TACOMA TRD SPORT. 5AT , 4LITRE ENGINE . IS THIS COMPATIBLE WITH THIS? FUEL MILEAGE? TEMPS? WHAT WILL IT GIVE ME ? I DONT WANT AN OBD READER THAT DOES WHAT MY OBD READER DOES NOW FOR CODES AND THATS IT

Asked by: RSCOTT1975
Thank you for the question. DashLink is compatible with your '10 Tacoma. However, we won't be able to confirm what parameters will be available. Here is the current standard of OBD-II parameters https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OBD-II_PIDs#Standard_PIDs While there are still no guarantees as to what you'll pick up, you should expect quite a few parameters to monitor.

I have a 1971 c10 I swapped a 2004 5.3 ls into and I have the factory ecu installed with an obd2 port with only the data wire and power and ground ran to it, will this work for my set up?

Asked by: Dakilliam
Thank you for your question. Once you do an engine swap, all bets are off as to the compatibility. There is no way to know if it will still work or what will be available. You can certainly try it and perhaps it works but I would not recommend purchasing DashLink to use in an engine swapped vehicle as there is no certainty of anything working.

Hi I am interested in this auto meter for my 2000 F350 7.3 diesel for the trans temp. Does it do the trans temp?

Asked by: Tpost
Thank you for the question. DashLink is compatible with your '00 F350.Since transmission temperature is not a standard OBD-II parameter, it's likely not available. Some manufacturers have started adding transmission temp, but it's still very select, later model vehicles. Here is the list of current parameters per the mandated standard: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OBD-II_PIDs#Standard_PIDs

How do you get the oil pressure gauge to read for a 2016 Ford Taurus SHO? is there a special pid missing? Just curious

Asked by: Slip24
Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, your vehicle manufacturer decides what is available via the common PIDs on your OBD-II port. There is no way to add PIDs to DashLink and, unfortunately, oil pressure is not one that is commonly available.

I have a 2010 fj cruiser with no transmission temp gauge will tje obd11 for android device be able to read the trans temp?

Asked by: Beagles
No.  I bought this for a 2012 FJ and it doesn't recognize it so it reverts to a generic profile that only reads the OBDII data required by the standard.  It can't even do fuel level so none of those associated features work.  It gives you some diagnostics ability like any scanner but basically only showed gauges I already have.  Same story with a Toyota Highlander.  I was hoping it might work with my 2009 Volvo but same story.  Not even fuel level recognized.  I'm sure there is a likely US made vehicle that the system works great with but I've had no luck getting much more than the existing gauges to show data.

Switching to another app on my iPhone 7+, the ODB-II disconnects from the app (not BT, the OBD-II connection). Switching back to the app, it has to reestablish before the app works again. Am I doing something wrong or is that a limitation of the app?

Asked by: Jaff
Thank you for your question. The app will not keep working if it is closed. It needs to remain opened to keep functioning. This is a safety feature to prevent phone use while driving.

Hi. I'm interested in your Dashlink. I have swapped an LS1 from a 2002 Holden WH Statesman into a Volvo 262C. OBDII port as well. Would you expect that the Dashlink would connect and work OK? Thanks. James

Asked by: JELG
Thank you for your question. Once you do an engine swap, there is no way for us to know what will be available via OBD-II and what will not. It is really just a roll of the dice. You may have everything still available, you could also have nothing available. It just depends how well the OBD-II system in the vehicle adapts to the transplant. There is no way to know until you plug in to the OBD-II port and see what is available.
