It enables you to capitalize on AutoMeter’s years of instrumentation and data acquisition expertise so you are in control and in-the-know about what is going on with your vehicle.  It turns your Apple (iOS) or Android enabled device into an advanced display and monitoring system. From monitoring vehicle and engine performance, to tracking fuel economy levels, reading and clearing vehicle trouble codes, to managing check engine lights, the AutoMeter DashLink puts you in control.

Harness the accuracy and precision of AutoMeter gauges in an advanced hardware and software package that provides instantaneous feedback to you about how your vehicle is performing. Customize the look and feel of your virtual dashboard with an easy to use interface. Determine exactly what you want to see and how you want it displayed with the DashLink app.

Data log what your vehicle is doing, determine: 0-60, ¼ mile, horsepower, and braking performance. Map where you vehicle has been, how it performed, and how many G’s you experienced with real time track mapping. Monitor your fuel economy/MPG, see how long your vehicle has idled, how many aggressive accelerations or braking events have occurred, and how your vehicle was driven. Instantly read, diagnose and clear engine codes and clear troublesome Check Engine lights, all with the easy to use plug-n-play functionality of the DashLink system.

DASHLINK, OBDII DIGITAL GAUGES, APPLE IOS is rated 1.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Wasn’t right for my pickup I have a 2016 Silverado duramax and the dash link I had was for my iPad thought it would be great to have some extra gauges on my iPad, plugged it in every time I started the pickup I had to connect it to Bluetooth manually which took several minutes, then when it did connect only gauges it had that I didn’t was the boost vacuum gauge I couldn’t get any additional gauges that I didn’t already have, and of course with it being a Bluetooth connection it’s delayed a couple seconds between the time you hit the throttle and the time it sends to the gauges, all in all wouldn’t be bad for reading check engine codes but for performance analysis I’d recommend an edge insight

Questions

I have an 08 Jeep Grand Cherokee CRD. Am I going to be able to get boost, EGT, air/fuel ratio and other diesel related gauges? Does it just read engine DTCs or does it to driveline and body also?

Asked by: Trail Rated Oil Burner
Thank you for the question. While it's difficult to make any guarantee since we've seen so much variation across vehicles and manufacturers, manifold pressure, exhaust temperature, and air/fuel ratio are parameters that should be available according to the current OBD-II standard. You can see the entire list of standard parameters here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OBD-II_PIDs#Standard_PIDs

does this device read oil pressure, and volts?

Asked by: Brian Dean
Hi Brian, thank you for the question. While there are hundreds of vehicle parameters available over the OBD-II, unfortunately, Oil Pressure and Battery Voltage are not required as part of the current OBD-II mandated standard. It's possible that some select models may feature those as implemented by the vehicle manufacturer, but there's no definitive listing we have to confirm specific vehicles.

Does this device, when connected to a vehicle, display the vehicles original miles ln? Looking mainly because I have an 02 Tahoe and the cluster is going bad and love the idea of this but I want to continue knowing what my odometer reading out.

Asked by: Bassedtahoe
Thank you for the question. Unfortunately, the odometer reading is not one of the standard OBD-II parameters.

I have a Mitsubishi lancer evolution 7. Which model of DASHLINK do I need?

Asked by: Jimmy Lee
Hi Jimmy, thank you so much for contacting us. Unfortunately the first Evo we got here in the States was the 8, so I don't have first hand experience with your car. Provided the vehicle is OBDII or EOBD compliant, the 6035 DashLink should work and be compatible with both iOS and Android devices. Hope this helps!

Does auto meter have a hard wire install kit for the dashlink ? An female obd2 female with pigtails ?

Asked by: Robert8888
Hi Robert, thank you so much for contacting us. The best option we've found is to use one of our splitter kits, which can be permanently installed in the vehicle while still leaving access to the port open for actual diagnostic purposes. You can check it out here: https://www.autometer.com/signal-splitter-adapter-obd-ii.html Hope this helps!

Do you know if the 03-06 Silverado/Tahoe/Suburbans have the transmission temp gauge ability through OBDii?

Asked by: curious
Thank you so much for contacting us. DashLink reads what your vehicle's factory computer broadcasts on the OBDII port. Some vehicles do provide this as a data stream, some do not. Transmission is not one of the federally mandated OBDII PIDs, so it's up to the discretion of the vehicle's manufacturer what they include on that data stream. Some provide lots of extra info, others provide the bare minimum. This can vary even between vehicles of the same year, make and model. The only way to say with 100% certainty is to test it on your particular vehicle.

I have a 2012 Y61 Nissan Patrol with the ZD30 CRD engine, will the DashLink be compatible with this engine to show turbo boost pressure and EGT?

Asked by: Nick012
Hi Nick, thank you so much for contacting us. Unfortunately we've never actually gotten a Nissan Patrol here in the US, and as such, aren't able to test. Based on the OBDII standard, you very well could be able to see boost, though I'm not sure if that holds true on EOBD. EGT is much less likely, but not having ever seen one of those vehicles here, I unfortunately can't verify it. Sorry for the bad news.

Will this be compatible with Ford AppLink Sync3 anytime soon? I’d love to use my built in display.

Asked by: Johnnypocket
Are you aware Ford sponsors hackathons for the purpose of compatible app developers? They also have an Applink simulator for a PC so you can test without a vehicle. They’ve really opened it up for this purpose so it really shouldn’t be too hard.
