Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good...When and if it works Very very temperamental in establishing a Bluetooth connection. Sometimes it connects fine...half the time requires a kabuki dance!!! I turn off everything else that is Bluetooth in the vehicle. If that doesn’t work, I shut off Bluetooth on my iPad and back on. If it doesn’t connect, I force it on the iPad. Even if it connects, half the time the app doesn’t connect. If that doesn’t work, I reboot the iPad and start over. If that doesn’t work, I unplug and plug the dongle. Throughout, I start and restart the vehicle. NUTS!!! When it works, It’s great...when it connects. Plus, I can’t get all gauges to function. I’ve played at setting it up. I need tech support but you don’t seem to be available during the hours you claim. I can’t get through live chat, either. I don’t want email roulette...I want tech support! Come on, guys!!!!!!? This isn’t my first AutoMeter product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hardly works It sucks, it will hardly connect to the Bluetooth on my iPad. I have to try and try again to get it to work.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good app, but... Good app, but need two option: auto connection BT. And the ability to show the air pressure level in all wheels, in for each separately. That would be very good. Best regards!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from it's a good product, but just needs a few tweaks. I own two of these. yes, the bluetooth connection can be frustrating. What I've learned is to go to your settings on your phone ipad or tablet first, go to the bluetooth menu, plug in the dash link and let the bluetooth for it connect that way first, which will prompt a pop up to ask if you want to open it, and click yes. it works everytime that way. The one option i would like to see change or how it can be read is for fuel pressure. obviously all cars have it, its one thing about boost (not factory equipped, can't read it), but fuel pressure should be available and its not. also o2 sensors for equipping then how a wide band would be nice. Over all, the features it give are better than anything else out there. might be a tempermental, but worth it in the end to know what going on with the car. I would recommend this for the price and what you get with it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Doesn’t work for early model OBD2 cars My Nissan 240sx was made in the second half of 1995 and is OBD2 autolink would show connected but would not relay any information to the app. Customer service worked with me but couldn’t figure it out. Still waiting on my refund.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from This made me leave auto meter for good Could be better. A lot better actually. I got this because I’m an auto meter fanatic. Not anymore. I’ve since removed my auto meter products and replaced with cheap gauges that work just as good.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works Great for my Snowcat I purchased this unit to be free of having to purchase gauges and wire in for my Restomod Snowcat that I’m building. I installed an AFI Kit (Affordable Fuel Injection Kit) to convert my 1972 Ford 300 six (4.9L) to EFI so I would be free of cold starts and Vapor Locking, After Setting up my Dashlink to think its a 1996 Ford 4.9L I’m getting the PIDs I need to function great!!! The only issues I have is I will loose BT if I start and shut off the motor and it wont reconnect…but I have found a fix that has worked 100% of the time now SOLUTION!!! Force close the App (restart / swipe up) and then reopen it and It always reconnects for me! This has ended lots of frustration!! You guys should add a auto restart feature if the app wont connect…I’ll add a video once I get close to the machine. Another great suggestion would be to have a BT sensor bank that I could add sensors to that the Dashlink would pick up as my ECU doesn’t read Oil pressure, Fuel Pressure, or Trans/Diff Temp sensors

I own a 1938 Chevrolet Fangio which was rebuilt into an endurance rally car. AutoMeter vintage instruments were used for the car. Can those instruments be adjusted? F.e. can the gasoline gage, oil pressure and speedometer be adjusted and how? Thanks

I was just about to spend a lot of money on a digital dashboard for a race car that I am building. Could I use this app on an iPad mounted in the car instead, or do I always need to have a digital signal available.

Asked by: 914 racer
The DashLink is designed to work off the OBD-2 port and it will only work when everything is essentially stock. Being a racer, we understand that may not be the case. It’s also important to know that not every make and model vehicle will provide all of the engine parameters you may be looking to view.

Asked by: Bruce Kit
This will work with any vehicle from 1996 and newer. As for bikes this is not compatible. You can clear codes but you cannot turn it off manually and will need a professional grade diagnostic tool to do so.

Asked by: MICAH

I have a 2018 Chevy Silverado 5.3, will this Dashlink read trans temp? The programmer I have for the truck will not read trans temp.

Asked by: Steve 374
Hello Steve 374, thank you for your question. Unfortunately there is no way to guarantee what will be available across every model vehicle. If your programmer reads OBD-II data and is capable of trans temp, it’s likely not something DashLink can read either.

Will this work on a 2020 sprinter for egt, water temp, etc.

Asked by: Nesrovlah
Since we do not have all the information on that vehicle that would be something you would need to have the dongle in and test. To make sure vehicle outputs this data you will want to do a PID validation. To do this the vehicle will need to be running and once the vehicle information is put into the App you can scroll down on that selected vehicles info and select PID Validation. Once this is done you will need to go to Data Grid, select Add PID, and select All PIDs. The PIDs that are usable will have a green dot with a check mark and the ones not usable will have a red dot with a check mark.
