National Account Sales Manager

The National Account Sales Manager will have direct responsibility to achieve sales objectives in their assigned accounts. The ideal candidate must be proficient in developing positive customer relationships as well as successfully navigating complex organizational structures to close on programs and opportunities.  Other responsibilities include interfacing with existing and new customers to drive growth, improve customer satisfaction and determine market product requirements. They will also participate in new product planning sessions in terms of recommending products that can expand our business. This position requires 50% travel nationally presenting and demonstrating programs and products. Candidate would preferably live in Chicagoland area or be willing to relocate.

A Bachelor’s Degree is required, preferably in business. Must have 5+ years of related experience. Must be self-motivated with excellent communication skills, high integrity, and a proven track record of growing sales through positive relationships. Industry knowledge or battery systems expertise is helpful.

Embedded Design Engineer

More about the position:

As an Embedded Design Electrical Engineer, you will work with a team of enthusiastic engineers who are passionate about producing high-quality products that customers enjoy.

Key responsibilities and scope of work include:

  • Create circuit designs, schematics, bill of materials, and circuit layout.
  • Develop embedded firmware on ARM Processors (primarily Cortex-M).
  • Develop serial and wireless communication protocols.
  • Create technical specifications from functional requirements.
  • Collaborate and take ownership with other developers to improve software and hardware quality.
  • Collect and process sensor data for use in instrumentation and control systems.
  • Lead application engineering effort from planning architecture to execution and delivery.
  • Design and implement scalable software architectures for hardware platforms.

More about you:

  • You have BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent (EE) degree.
  • You have 5+ years of relevant work experience, which includes developing on embedded ARM systems, implementation/utilization of debug tools, use of software version control in a team.
  • You have fluency in C/C++/Java and other object-oriented programming languages.
  • You have fluency in schematic capture software and PCB layout software.
  • You have working knowledge of embedded software, operating systems, interrupt handling and communication drivers.
  • You have experience with vehicle OBDII/CAN Technology (is a plus).
  • You have experience with embedded ARM RTOS (is a plus).
  • You work well in a highly collaborative team environment.
  • You have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • You are self-motivated with a strong desire to learn.
  • You can meet deadlines on individual tasks.
  • You are happy taking ownership of issues and working towards completion.

Senior Test Engineer

Responsibilities include developing computer based test software, designing control circuits, selection of test equipment, participating in electrical design reviews with a focus on reliability, testability, and manufacturability, and assembly of test fixtures. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1)    Design/develop test software and test systems/fixtures that fully evaluate all parameters of the Auto Meter instrument under test compared to established tolerances for each unit parameter.  The test software must create an electronic device history folder by serial number, where applicable, and provide the capability to retrieve test data by serial number or date of test.   

2)    Utilize data from computer based testing to provide feedback to design engineering in terms of areas for design improvement and evaluation of tolerances.

3)    Utilize test data for predictive maintenance to identify product, process, and equipment trends to take corrective action prior to failure.

4)    Analyze any failures from in house testing and any field failures to determine the root cause of failure and provide corrective action recommendations.

5)    Support the company productivity improvement goals and initiatives through continuous improvement of test programs/processes/fixtures.  Participates in kaizen events and other improvement initiatives.

6)    Develop documentation for test processes in support of IATF 16949.   

7)    Supervise pilot runs for new products and procedures; oversee and make sure all steps are being followed; collect and analyze test data.

8)    Direct and coordinate fabrication and installation activities to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design specifications and customer satisfaction.

9)    Evaluate testing procedures for accuracy and safe practices.

10) Provide engineering support to manufacturing.

11) Interact with other departments/personnel in product/test related issues.

12) Estimate project costs for test system/fixture fabrication.

13) Perform design reviews focusing on electronic reliability, testability, and manufacturability.

14) Support achievement of Quality Objectives.

15) Support maintenance in the repair of test systems/fixtures. 

BS and MS in Electrical Engineering required.

Must have a minimum of 5 years direct experience in developing test systems including writing test software and designing test systems/fixtures. 

Must be proficient in writing code in programming languages such as C++.    

Must be able to analyze electrical circuit design schematics.
