So to be clear, i use the ribbed from the tach to the black from the sensor and the smooth from the tack to the white from the sensor. I ask because the ribbed wire is black with a white trace and the smooth is just black. Kind of counter intuitive.Thank you for your question. That is correct.Date published: 2019-09-06
I have used four raised tabs on my pulley approximately 3/16" square as well as high as pickups. Tach seems to be giving a Lower RPM than actual. Any suggestions?Thank you for your question. I am using this tach on a gasoline engine. Can the tach use the gray wire on a MSD box for the tach pickup or does this tach have to use the magnetic pickup provided??Thank you for your inquiry. Can I order the Monster Tach pt # 6806 with a white face to match my 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 diesel?Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, this gauge cannot be special ordered or customized to have a white face. The 6806 comes with its own type of sensor (model 5211) and will not be compatible with the 9112 style adapter. The 9112 pick-up will work with any standard electronic ignition tachometer.
