QUESTIONS:
Seems like most Toyotas have an ECU generated tach signal on pin-9 of the ODB port. Can I use that pin signal to avoid using an adapter on a Toyota diesel engine (1KD)?
Thank you for your question. All of our tachs work with a standard square wave tach signal. If you have a working tach output from the ECU it should be fine with one of our tachs.

Will this work with a 55 tbird 12 volt
It’s important to know that our instruments are universal and not necessarily designed for a particular vehicle. The 2695 should operate off your T-Bird ignition.

Is 2695 suitable for a given diesel engine? And do I need to use 9112 together?
Thank you for your question. Part #9112 2ill be needed to make this work.

I previously purchased a 2888 and used it on another project worked great. My new project I need the same thing but with a gauge that fits in a 3 3/8 hole is this what I’m looking for?
Hi,
I am assuming since you used a 2888, you have a diesel engine. In that case, you can certainly use this tachometer, but will also need our 9112 Diesel Tach Adapter:

Thanks,

Will this work in a 97 explorer with the electronic ignition 5.0?
Thank you for your question. We recommend using P/N: 9117 to obtain a correct tach signal. For further assistance please give us a call at 866-248-6357.

I have a 1st Gen Cummins 5.9. I'm getting a one wire alternator for it with a "W" terminal tach output, could this output be connected directly to the tach, or would the diesel tach converter still be necessary?
Thank you for your question. You would still need the diesel tach adapter as our tachometers are not compatible with the signal produced by that tach output on your alternator. Our diesel tach adapter produces the standard tach signal our tachometers are made to be compatible with.

Is this a direct replacement for my 89 Camaro Iroc z tachometer? I have a MSD 6AL 2 ignition and First Performance TPI set up with Fast EZ/Electronics. If not a direct replacement what tach's will be a direct replacement in my existing tach location?
Hi Larry, thank you for the question. Our tachometers are compatible with the MSD ignition, but nothing we offer is specifically designed as a direct replacement for an '89 Camaro. The 2695 has a 3-3/4" OD and fits into a 3-3/8" diameter hole. This is a common size we offer along with several larger options that fit into a 4-5/8" diameter hole and feature a 5" OD.

Do you have a mounting bracket for this? It appears the only size you have is the smaller 2 1/8". I can not put in dash.
Hi Randy, thank you for the question. The 2695 can be pedestal mounted into our 5203 or 5204 mounting cup. This will allow for a top dash or steering column mount, as well as an option to rotate 180 degrees and "hang" from underneath a dash.
