QUESTIONS:
Two questions. One, is this Tach compatible with your diesel tach adapter? Two, what color is the backlight of the gauge, not the shift light? And is there any way to change the color?
Thank you for your question. Yes, it will work with the diesel tach adapter. It uses a traditional incandescent bulb which you can put a boot cover over to change the color or you can replace it with a T3 wedge base LED bulb.

How is the lighting on the face itself at night?
Thank you for your question. There is an incandescent bulb in the back of the gauge that will shine around the edge of the dial face to illuminate it at night.

Thank you for your question. This tachometer uses an incandescent bulb and we include a green and red light boot to change the color if you wanted to.

Can you set the RPMs the light turns on to?
Hi there, thank you for the question. Yes, you sure can. There is a knob on the lower backside of the tachometer that will allow you to dial in the desired shift light RPM. When the tachometer sees 12V but no signal (key on, but no engine running), it enters shift set mode. Once the vehicle is started, it will read RPM and the light will come on at the shift set RPM.

does this tack work with msd
Thank you so much for contacting us. While this tach should work with an MSD ignition box, Auto Gage tachs will very often require the use of an MSD tach adapter to function. Check your MSd instructions to be certain.
An important note - this is only true for the Auto Gage line - all AutoMeter brand tachs will work with MSD ignition systems right out of the box with no adapters. Hope this helps!

Is this tac available with a white dial?
