Can a shift light be attached to thisThank you for your inquiry. The 2304 is not designed to control a shift light. You may want to consider the 2302 or 2309, both of which include shift lights.Date published: 2019-02-25
How do I wire the 2304 tach with a MSD 6 ignition? Do I need the tach adapter?Thank you for your question. Your MSD box should have a tach output which you would wire your green wire from the tach to.Date published: 2019-02-21
can I mount this tach on the side of my steering column and then rotate it so the tach is level again? Thanks TroyYes, there’s a screw that runs though the back housing, loosen it and rotate the gage face whichever direction you want. Date published: 2018-09-21
will this work on 2003 indian motorcycleThank you for contacting us. This will likely not work due to the calibration, but also not recommended for motorcycle use. We would recommend something from our Pro-Cycle line, which will be calibrated for a motorcycle, but also more resistance to a motorcycle environment: https://www.autometer.com/gauges/pro-cycle.html#1&profile=productsDate published: 2018-07-02
can this unit be mounted on steering column of 1965 chevy truck ??Thank you so much for contacting us. You should not have any issues mounting this tach on your column. Mounting it to the column is one of the most common installations for pedestal mount tachs. Hope this helps!Date published: 2018-05-03
I have a 66 Chevelle with a MSD 6201 and blaster SS coil. Will this gauge work with my MSD or do I need the 8920 adapter. I'd really like to not use an adapter.Hi Keller, thank you so much for contacting us. With the Auto Gage line of tachs, you will very likely need to use MSD's tach adapter to make it work with your ignition box. It's worth noting that this will only be necessary with Auto Gage tachs; every AutoMeter tach will work right out of the box will no adapter. Hope this helps!Date published: 2017-12-15
1957 Chevy Sedan 350ci HEI ignition. Will this mount to the bottom of my dash? I want a white face Tach, with an orange needle. What other options do I have?Hi Sam, thank you so much for contacting us. This particular tach won't work inverted; it will only work on top of the dash or column. I think you'd probably want to go with something like this (which also has an orange pointer): http://www.autometer.com/3-3-8-tach-8-000-rpm-4-6-8-cyl-arctic-white.html Used in conjunction with this cup to mount under the dash: http://www.autometer.com/3-3-8-mounting-cup-monster-ga-chrome.html Hope this helps!Date published: 2017-11-27
I bought an Auto gage 2304 tach and the installer butchered the chrome outside bucket. Tach is wired and works fine but I need to order a replacement part. Is it possible to buy just that part?Hi Marty, thank you so much for contacting us. Unfortunately, the housing isn't really a user serviceable part. With that said, we're happy to take a look at it for you in our shop. We should be able to repair it for significantly less money than a replacement would cost. You can find our service form here: http://www.autometer.com/media/Service_Form.pdf Hope this helps!Date published: 2017-11-10
