Hello Bob carroll. The 2303 can be set for a standard 2, 3, or 4 pulse per rev application, which covers most standard 4, 6, and 8 cylinder automotive applications. Does it matter if the tach needle is not at zero in the box?

Asked by: Rbennett
Thank you for your question. Yes, that is normal. The pointer will go to zero once power is applied to the tach. Without power the pointer can rest anywhere.

Does part number 2303 come with a wiring harness?

Asked by: Mike84
Hi Mike, thank you for the question. The 2303 comes with wires ("flying leads") only and not a specific harness, necessarily. The wires are permanently connected inside the tachometer and come out of a small hole on the back of the tachometer. There are 4 wires; red for power, black for ground, white for illumination, and green for the signal.
