Description
One of the single most important factors in determining how your engine performs (and how long it performs between rebuilds) is proper oil temperature during operation. Knowing your exact temp allows you to make sure you’ve got the proper oil weight and cooling capacity. Utilizing AutoMeter’s ultra precise bourdon tube meter movement, you can be assured of the most accurate possible readings of the life blood of your engine. Questions

What type or sender is required.. is it included? How does this work?

Asked by: 71rs6spd
Thank you for connecting with us. The 3341 Oil Temperature Gauge is actually a mechanical gauge. It features a permanently attached capillary tubing that is filled with ether with a sensor bulb at the end that will measure the actual temperature. A comparable electric model is 3348; https://www.autometer.com/2-oil-temp-140-300-f-sse-sport-comp.html The electric model will include its own sender, but will require 12 volts to operate.
