How do you change the backlight bulb in this model? All my other Autometer gauges are straightforward in that regard. This one has me stumped.Thank you so much for contacting us. It's pretty simple on this one. You want to remove the allen head screw from the back of the gauge cup and slide it off (the gauge itself will need to be removed from the mounting bracket). Once the cup is off, you'll see the light socket. It can be popped out and the bulb can be replaced with an off the shelf 168 style wedge base bulb. Hope this helps!Date published: 2018-06-30

Will this work if directly connected to the Tach output on a GM MEFI 4 EFI system?Thank you so much for contacting us. In most cases, our tachs should work great hooked up to the engine speed signal output from the ECU. It is important to note that this holds true for stock ECUs that have not been flashed or otherwise had their software/firmware modified. In some instances, modifying the ECU can degrade or eliminate that engine speed signal, requiring a direct connection to the ignition system. Hope this helps!Date published: 2018-05-21
Hi, can any of the pedestal tachometers fit into one of your gauge mounting panels? Or do they need to be mounted on their own in their own bracket? Also can I order directly from this website or do I need to order through a stockist in Australia?Hi David, thank you so much for contacting us. These pedestal mount tachs will unfortunately not fit into a gauge mounting panel. They will need to use the included hardware. You can order directly from our website to Australia. We charge a flat rate of $99.95 for shipping regardless of the size of the order. This works out well on larger orders, but not quite as well if you only need a couple of things.
