Looking for a Tach for a very confined space, so I need 1) Overall Diameter of the tach body, 2) Overall Length of the tach body, 3) Overall Height, from the bottom of the bracket to the top edge of the tach body.

Asked by: mendoje
Thank you for your question. The outside diameter is 2-7/8", The length/depth is 3", the total height from bottom of the pedestal to the top of the tach is 3-15/16".

Can Tach 289111 be taken apart to face mount? Also will it work with GM HEI?

Asked by: JHEMSRIV
Hi, thanks for reaching out to us. You can take the 2891 tach out of the cup and it will mount into a 2-5/8" hole. It will not have any mounting studs or bracket to hold it in dash so you will need to supply some solution for this. Sometimes if there is enough room behind the dash, you can use the cup and bracket to hold it in the dash. Yes, it will work with an HEI ignition.

Is tachometer 2891 metal or plastic? Does it have plastic or glass lens? Can it be attached to steering column with a hose clamp?

Asked by: None!!
Thank you so much for contacting us. This tach uses a metal case, a glass lens and can easily be attached to a steering column with a hose clamp. Hope this helps!
