hi, ¿this kit serves a chevy malibu 1982 has 231 6V engine?

Thank you for your inquiry. The 2399 is not designed specifically for any one vehicle or drive train. It should work fine installed into your Malibu.

is the gauges all electric

Asked by: petwa
Thank you for your question. No, the gauges in this kit are mechanical. If you want an electric 3 gauge panel, you will need our panel #2238 and you can use that with any three 2-1/16" gauges we offer.

Does this guage set come with sending units?

Asked by: browner65
Thank you for your question. These gauges are mechanical. They will include the tubing and probes necessary for them to get accurate readings. All you may need is the appropriate adapters to adapt the fittings/probes to your application.

Looking for 3-gauge cluster (water, oil, and generator/battery) for 1963 Falcon Futura 6-cyl. (170).  What do you have that will fit this vehicle and engine?

Asked by: Carl J. Fielstra
Thank you for your question. None of our gauge are made to be vehicle specific and we do not know the specs for your vehicle. Our gauges do not work with factory wiring or sensors and must be used with the provided sensors. You would need to find a way to install the sensor on your vehicle based on your application.

With this Temp gauge, i have a big block Mopar, can i run the temp tube under the intake manifold on top of the lifter valley pan. Will it pick up extra heat and make the gauge read higher than it really is? Or should i run it on top of the intake between

Asked by: Grumpy468
Thank you for reaching out to us. The 2399 temperature gauge features a copper tubing with a metal coiling around it. While it designed to handle engine compartment temperatures, it would always be recommended to be routed away from and not directly touching engine components.

can I get the water temp gauge in electrical in lieu of mechanical

Asked by: JimG
Hi Jim, thank you for the question. In the AutoGage series we offer only mechanical gauges, except in our mini console model 2391. Throughout the AutoMeter line we offer several 2-5/8" electric water temp gauges. However, nothing sold in a 3 gauge set. We sell the panels separately and you would have to purchase each gauge individually in the AutoMeter line.

I purchased a auto gauge # 2399. In the kit there are three rubber grommets. My question is how does the large solid grommet for the temp gauge go around the temp tubing & in the firewall when the grommet is solid?

Asked by: keta
Hi Keta, thank you for the question. The larger rubber grommet must be split or cut and then you can open it up to go around the mechanical temperature tubing.

On the 2399 gauge set will a Allstar Performance part # ALL 46110-36, braided steel line work on the oil pressure gauge. Does it connect right to the gauge or do I have to buy any fittings or adapters? If so, can you provide part numbers.

Asked by: keta
Hello Mike, thank you for your question. 2399 oil pressure gauge has a 1/8" NPT connector. If your braided steel line connects to a 1/8" fitting, yes you can use it. It looks like the line you mention will connect, however, you should double check to be sure.

Do either the 2-5/8" or 2-1/16" gauges come in a 4 or 5 gauge under dash console?

Asked by: Guitarman 387
Thank you for the question. There are no 4 or 5 gauge panels for simple under dash mount. Only single, dual, and triple. We do offer 2 x dual panels separately which you can add gauges to if you'd like to run 4. The 2 gauge panels are 2237 (2-1/16") or 3232 (2-5/8").

looking for a tach which will match this set

Asked by: skulls-x
Thank you for connecting with us. Officially, the matching tachometer is model 2301, which can be seen here. It's a 3-3/4" pedestal mount tachometer: https://www.autometer.com/3-3-4-tach-8-000-rpm-chrome.html While not an exact match, we also offer this 2-5/8" pedestal option, model 2893 - https://www.autometer.com/2-5-8-tach-8-000-rpm-mini-chrome.html

Is this set of gauges are electronic or mechanical I’m looking for a electronic set

Asked by: Nielo2311
Thank you so much for contacting us. This particular set is mechanical. In the Auto Gage line, only the 1-1/2" mini gauge console is electronic: https://www.autometer.com/1-1-2-3-gauge-console-oil-volt-water-elec.html All of the other Auto Gage kits are electronic (with the voltmeter/ammeter obviously being electronic). There are a lot of options in the AutoMeter line though. If you'd like help with specific part numbers, hit the Chat link at the top of every page, call us at 866.248.6356 or shoot us a message here: https://www.autometer.com/resources/index/ask_a_question Hope this helps!

I should have asked will the gauges in 2399 work with the 2 5/8" pedestal cups.

Asked by: Bill
Hi Bill, thank you so much for contacting us. Our 2-5/8" pedestal cups are designed to work with AutoMeter gauges, and won't properly fit gauges from the Auto Gage line. The light socket on the back of these gauges extends too far out of the back of the gauge to fit in a cup. Technically, they would fit without the lights installed, but not with. Sorry for the bad news.
